The Pilgrims collect the holy water of the Rivers Yamuna and Ganga from Yamunotri and Gangotri and then offer the Abhishek at Kedarnath temple and then pay homage to the Lord Badrinath.
Best Time to Visit Char Dham Yatra 2019
Unlike the original Chardham Yatra that can be taken by the Pilgrims throughout the year, the Chota Chardham Yatra had a fixed visiting time. The Char Dhams of Uttarakhand are open for the devotees only for a certain period of time.
The holy Chardham shrines open somewhere in April-May and remain open till Oct-Nov every year. In short, 6-months tenure is kept for the devotees to make them feel blessed with the Darshans of the almighty. Best time to visit the Chardham holy shrines is between May-June and Sept-October.
